We serve. We are part of the world’s largest service club organization. We assist the sight and hearing impaired so they can fully participate in our community. We roll up our sleeves, and involve ourselves in our community through fundraisers and events.

  • Texas Hold’em Tournament Set for March 25th

    Texas Hold Em Our Texas Hold’em Charity Fundraising Tournament and Eyeglass Collection Day will be held on the evening of Saturday, March 25th, 2017. At Franks’s Place Ocoee. Top prize is $1,000 (if 30 players). Registration will be at 5:00 pm, and the tournament beings at 6:00 pm. Bring to the game useable prescription eyeglasses to donate and receive 200 extra chips per pair (maximum 1000). Stop by, have fun. All for a good cause.

  • Lisa Arnold Named Christmas Parade Grand Marshal

    grandmarshall2016cropLisa Arnold, Teacher of the Year for Ocoee Elementary School, has been named Grand Marshall of the 2016 Ocoee Christmas Parade. Ms. Arnold earned her National Board Certification in Art, and her artwork is showcased throughout her school. She also ensures that her students’ artwork is showcased at art festivals, Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center exhibits and local museums. She has been an integral part of her school’s beautification projects, and invited parents to participate in assembling schoolwide murals. She was a founding member of the Behavioral Leadership team and is a Parent-Teacher Association member.

    The Ocoee Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday December 3rd, starting at 1:00 pm.

  • 2016 Lions Club Turkey Shoot Dates Announced

    Turkey Shoot SignThis year’s Ocoee Lions Club Turkey Shoots will be held on:
    October 22
    November 12
    December 10
    (All of them Saturdays).

    From 8 am to 4 pm (Sign-ups start @ 7:30 am)
    $3.50 per shot

    In the field at 881 Ocoee-Apopka Rd, south of the West Orange Girls Softball Complex. Look for the sign on the road.

    You bring your own shotgun. We provide the shells. We (usually) also have a house shotgun if you don’t have one.

    There will be a 50/50, a gun raffle and a concession stand. See you there!

    Proceeds go to the local and international charities the Club supports.

    For the uninitiated, this is shooting at paper targets. And one of our fundraisers. The winner of each round of ten shooters receives a frozen turkey or gift card.

  • Preparations Begin for 2016 Ocoee Christmas Parade

    Christmas ParadeThis year’s Ocoee Christmas Holiday Parade, presented by the Ocoee Lions Club in conjunction with the City of Ocoee, will run on Saturday December 3rd, starting at 1:00 in the afternoon.

    The Parade will start at the intersections of Maguire Road and Enterprise Street, and end at Municipal Lakefront Park at Ocoee City Hall.

    Lisa Arnold, Teacher of the Year for Ocoee Elementary School, has been named Grand Marshal of the Parade.

    Check back here or on our facebook page after the Parade for photos and video, when they become available. You’ll find news updates there too. Tag photos you take on Instagram. Use the hashtags #ocoeechristmasparade, #ocoeeflchristmasparade and/or #ocoeelionsclub.

    Rain date will be the next day, starting at 1:00 in the afternoon.
